Mitte Connects to Claude, Plus a 3D & Font Library

Mitte is now an MCP connector: add it to Claude and generate images, video, and audio without leaving the chat, with the result showing up right there.

New

  • Connect Mitte to Claude. Add https://mitte.ai/mcp as a connector in Claude (or any MCP client) and it can start a generation on mitte and see the result inline, no exporting and re-uploading.
  • 3D and font library. Search six 3D collections on your canvas: anatomy, Poly Haven props, Google Scanned Objects, Smithsonian pieces, NASA models, and Kenney low-poly assets. The full Google Fonts catalogue is in there too, with specimens rendered in each font’s own script for the ones that don’t use Latin.
  • MIDI tools. Write a melody and hear it play, or turn any audio clip into MIDI. From there: transpose, retime the tempo, quantize, swap the instrument, and check your work on a piano roll. MIDI files play back as audio in your library too, no external player needed.
  • PPTX on the canvas. Open a PowerPoint file to read the slides and speaker notes, or hand it to the assistant to create or edit one. Export any of it to PDF or images when you’re done.

Fixes

  • Touch scrolling works again on mobile. It had stopped responding across the whole site.
  • The assistant no longer stalls after saying “On it…”. It picks the task back up and finishes it.
  • Dropping files on your asset browser no longer silently caps at 10. It takes up to 25, with a heads up if you go over.
  • Every app in the catalog shows up again, including ones that had dropped out of their category pages.
  • MIDI-to-audio runs no longer charge you before failing on a mismatched sample rate value.

Presets Are Now Apps

Presets are called Apps now, across the site and in the URL, and the catalog sits at mitte.ai/apps. The other change you will feel: a generation that fails finally tells you what happened and offers to run it again. Also this week, public links that work for every asset type, and a duration slider that matches the video you attached.

New

  • Presets are now Apps. Same ready-made recipes, new name. The catalog is at mitte.ai/apps.
  • Failed generations say what went wrong. A run that fails now shows a standard error view in Spotlight, in the grid and on preview thumbnails, with Run again, Edit prompt and Report bug on it. Text, code and HTML assets used to show no error at all.
  • Public links for anything in your library. A shared link renders every asset type, folders included, so the person opening it sees the work whatever it is.
  • Duration follows the video you attach. Attach a clip to a video app and the duration slider snaps to its real length. Before this, a 12 second clip could quietly generate 5 seconds and still charge you for it.

Improved

  • Story board, at a size you can read. The Frames menu’s Contact sheet is now called Story board, and it renders fresh at 3840px instead of reusing a small preview sheet that handed you 150px thumbnails.
  • Moving assets between folders. Dragging a batch to another folder is one move now instead of one request per asset, and there is an up button to get back to the parent folder.
  • The assistant starts on Pro. New chats open on the Pro tier instead of Lite. You can still switch to Lite for a session.

Fixes

  • Cover Faces with a Grid runs instead of failing at the last step, and its controls no longer show an upload slot and a raw JSON field you were never meant to fill in.
  • Double clicking a folder in the sidebar opens it again.
  • Clicking a video in the sidebar no longer crashes Spotlight.
  • Attaching an upload to an assistant message no longer kills the run partway through.

Fonts Get Specimen Sheets

Upload a typeface and you get a specimen sheet instead of a generic file icon. EPS artwork and PDFs got the same treatment: their own file type, a thumbnail in the grid, and a real view in Spotlight.

New

  • Fonts preview as specimen sheets. Upload a font and Spotlight renders a sheet of its actual glyphs, so you can tell two weights apart without installing anything.
  • EPS is a file type of its own. Vector uploads get their own icon and label, a thumbnail in the grid and a proper view in Spotlight, instead of sitting there as a generic file.
  • PDFs show their first page. A PDF upload gets a first-page thumbnail, so a folder of them is something you can scan by eye.

Fixes

  • Browsing a collection past the first page no longer errors out.

The Assistant Gets Its Own Page

The assistant has its own page at mitte.ai/assistant, so you can open it without a generation in front of you. Downloads arrive named after the asset instead of a string of characters. Also this week: a keyframe control for video, voices you can design from a description, and SVG and GIF files that display properly.

New

  • Design a voice from a description. Say what the voice should sound like and get one back you can generate speech with. Option dropdowns play the audio, so you can hear a voice before you pick it.

  • Downloads keep the asset’s name. A file saves under its label rather than an identifier, and bulk download zips name their entries the same way.
  • The prompt shows a character counter. You can see how much room is left instead of finding out at the end.
  • Share links point at the file. The share dialog hands you the direct file URL.
  • Your own apps sit at the top. The collection menu puts what you made first.

Fixes

  • Copying in the prompt editor copies what you selected, not the whole prompt.
  • Long option lists in an app’s controls scroll instead of running off the panel.
  • Trending models no longer repeat what is already in the featured collection.

The Assistant Chat

You can talk to the assistant in a chat now, and stop it mid-turn when it heads the wrong way. Voice arrived as models you can run like any other: text to speech, and cloning a voice from a recording. Also this week, a color picker, upload controls that take several files at once, and files that keep their names.

New

  • Chat with the assistant. Describe what you want and it runs the generation for you. A Stop button cuts a turn short, and a spinner tells you when it is still connecting.
  • Text to speech and voice cloning. Fish Text-to-speech reads a script aloud, and a companion app clones a voice from a short recording. Browse the models page.
  • A color picker. Apps that take a color show named options in a swatch grid.
  • Attach more than one file to a control. An upload control takes several files at once, so an app that wants a handful of references takes them in one go.

Improved

  • Files keep their names. Uploads hold on to their original filename, and generated files get a readable label instead of an identifier.
  • Featured models on Home. The signed-in home page shows featured models, and app pages picked up the same browsing strips.
  • LUT and subtitle files are recognised. Uploading a .cube, .srt or .vtt file is handled as what it is.

Fixes

  • Images never render above their natural size, so a small output stops looking soft because the grid stretched it.
  • Your library catches up after a dropped connection instead of sitting on a stale grid.
  • The selection outline stays visible on very small grid tiles.

Transcribe Any Audio File

Audio you upload can be transcribed with a timestamp on every word, which is the part subtitles are actually made of. Option dropdowns show thumbnails now, so picking a look or a voice means looking at it instead of reading a list of names. Also this week: text files you can read in your library, and a Pro or Lite choice in the chat.

New

  • Transcription with word-level timing. Whisper turns an audio file into a transcript with a timestamp on every word, which is what subtitle timing needs.
  • Thumbnails in option dropdowns. Controls that offer a list of looks or voices show a picture for each one, and switch to a grid when the list is long.
  • Text files in your library. Text output is saved as an asset you can open and read, with a markdown toggle for when it is formatted.
  • Pro and Lite in the chat. Pick which tier answers you, and see which one produced each message in the thread.

Improved

  • Generated assets look right in the chat. Assets in a chat thread are framed the way they are in your library instead of getting their own treatment.
  • Copy a message. Chat messages carry a copy button and the time they were sent.

Fixes

  • An app with several outputs delivers all of them, including branches nothing else was waiting on.
  • A generation no longer loses its result when the last step settles slowly.
  • Video tiles in the library stop flickering on hover, and videos in the chat keep their aspect ratio.
  • Opening an asset whose model has been removed no longer errors.

Recents

The newest thing you made is one click away, wherever you saved it.

  • Recents. A feed of your newest assets across every folder, so you do not have to remember which folder something landed in.

Improved

  • A new asset is not hidden by a filter you left on. Export a frame while the library is filtered to video only and it used to be hidden by the filter. Now it is revealed where you can see it.

Browse Tools by Collection

Tools are grouped into collections you can browse instead of the old category list, and the Edit, Upscale and Extend buttons on an asset now come from menus we curate. Underneath, what you get charged for changed.

  • Collections. Tools are organised into collections for browsing, replacing the old categories. Links to retired single-tool pages redirect to whatever replaced them instead of dead-ending.
  • Curated Edit, Upscale and Extend menus. The actions offered on an asset come from ordered menus we maintain, rather than from a flag on each individual tool.

Improved

  • A run is charged once. Charging is tied to the run itself rather than to each file it produces, so a run that returns several files is not billed several times.

Credit Limits for Teams

A team can be given a monthly credit limit, so one person’s afternoon of experiments does not spend the month for everyone. Otherwise this was a quiet stretch — most of the work went into plumbing rather than anything you can see.

New

  • Credit limits for teams. Set a monthly limit either as a cap for each member or as one shared pot for the whole team. It is one or the other, not both, and the limit shows up in team settings and in usage.

Connect Other Apps to Your Account

Mitte can act as a sign-in provider now, so another application can ask for access to your account and you can see and revoke it from settings. There is also a blog, and pages for people looking at the company rather than the product.

New

  • Connected apps. Another application can ask for permission to use your Mitte account with a scoped key, and a Connected apps screen in settings shows what you have authorised and lets you revoke any of it. This is a first pass.
  • The blog. Posts live at mitte.ai/blog, organised by category and included in the sitemap so they are findable.
  • Company pages. Careers, Enterprise and the Creators Program have their own pages, with a contact form.

Folders Inside Folders

Folders can hold other folders now, and there is a canvas view for laying them out instead of a list. Team invites became links you can send to anyone, and someone opening one can sign up and land in your team in a single step.

New

  • Folders inside folders. A folder can live inside another folder, and folders show up in your asset feed alongside everything else, so you can open and pin them from there. Sharing follows the nesting — permissions on a parent folder are inherited by what is inside it. A folder has one parent, not several.
  • Folder canvas. A new canvas view lays your folders out on a surface you can pan and zoom instead of scrolling a list. Anything you generate goes into whichever folder is focused on the canvas.
  • Invite a teammate with a link. Team invites are no longer email-only. Team settings shows a link you can send to anyone, and removing a member now asks you to confirm first.
  • Join a team while you sign up. Open an invite link without an account and you get a join page: sign up with an email and password or with Google, and you land in the team straight away. Signing up through an invite skips the email confirmation step.

Improved

  • Live updates across a team. Changes to assets, folders, versions and favourites are pushed to the team members who should see them as they happen.

Fixes

  • Changing plan mid-month counts your credits correctly. Upgrading part-way through a cycle starts the new plan’s monthly quota fresh and carries your all-time bonus balance across, and usage counts against the plan you are on rather than the sum of every plan you have ever been on.

A Rebuilt Apps Page

The apps page was rebuilt, so browsing for something to start from is easier than it was. Also new: recordings you can attach and keep, and a music model.

Shared Folders for Teams

Folders arrived, and then they learned to work across a team. Create a folder in a shared library and everyone on the team sees it, so what you make lands somewhere the rest of them can find. Also new: apps can carry their own controls, and the team page got clearer.

Teams are live. Share a workspace, a library and a pool of credits with the people you work with. Also new: a list view for your library, an audio waveform you can trim, and billing details you can edit yourself.

Split Any Track Into Stems

Demucs Track Splitter is live. Point it at a song and it comes back as six separate stems, vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and everything else, each one its own file in your library. Also new this week: a search field on Home, and a Recently created row under the prompt bar.

  • Demucs Track Splitter. Open the model, drop in a track, and six stems come back. Good for pulling an acapella out of a reference, killing a vocal to get a backing track, or lifting a drum loop you want to build on.

Find a Frame by Describing It

Describe the shot you are looking for and it finds that frame in your video. No scrubbing the timeline hunting for the moment. Also new: stem splitting, text to speech, cutting and trimming video, side by side and stacked layouts, and cinematic bars.

Auto-Captions for Video

Point the auto-captioner at a video and it transcribes the speech and burns the captions in. Also new: wipe and reveal transitions, thumbnail takeover in any combination of image and video, and a bin for the things you delete.

Attach an image and the aspect ratio switches to match it. One less setting to remember before you hit Send. Also new: apps listed on Home, more than one attachment at a time, and a prompt box that grows as you type.

You can attach files to a prompt now. Use the attach button or paste one straight in, and it rides along with what you type. Also new: your library, where everything you make is kept, and apps, ready-made setups you can run instead of starting from a blank prompt.
