FLUX 3 Image: Native 2K and 4K Images with Precise Layout Control
FLUX 3 Image is Black Forest Labs’ newest image model, and you can use it on Mitte right now. Describe an image and get it. Attach photos and say what to change. It makes detailed, well-composed images in native 2K and 4K, and it puts things where you tell it to.
Layout is where it stands out. Ask for the subject in the lower left, a headline across the top, and a product on the right, and that’s the frame you get. Text comes out cleaner too, so posters, covers, and packaging mockups need far fewer reruns before the copy reads right.
It also works well with references. Combine up to 10 images in one generation, and ask for several targeted edits at once: swap the jacket, change the sky, and fix the sign in a single pass, while the rest of the image stays as it was.
What can you do with it?
- Generate in native 2K and 4K. Detail holds up at print size, with no upscaling step in between.
- Lay out the frame. Say where each element goes and how big it is. Useful for ad layouts, covers, and anything with space reserved for copy.
- Design with real text. Posters, menus, book covers, thumbnails, and labels. Put the words in quotes and they come out legible.
- Make several edits in one pass. List every change in the prompt and get them all back in one image.
- Combine up to 10 references. Take a character from one image, an outfit from another, and a location from a third, and bring them together in one scene.
- Keep a look consistent. Reuse the same reference images across a series so characters, products, and styles stay recognizable from image to image.
How to use it
- Write the prompt. Subject, style, light, composition, and any copy in quotes. Say where things go in the frame.
- Attach references (optional). Add up to 10 images to edit or combine. Refer to them in the prompt as image 1, image 2, and so on, in the order you attached them.
- Choose an aspect ratio. Fourteen ratios from cinematic 21:9 to tall 1:2. When you attach images, Auto matches the shape of the first one.
- Pick a resolution. 512 or 768 Square for quick drafts, 1K for everyday work, 2K or 4K for finished pieces.
- Generate. Download the result, share it, or keep editing on Mitte.
What you get
One image per run in JPEG or PNG, in your chosen ratio, at up to native 4K.
Tips
- Draft small, finish big. Find the composition with 768 Square or 1K, then rerun the one you like at 2K or 4K. 4K can take a few minutes.
- Describe the layout in plain words. “Product centered in the lower third, headline across the top, empty space on the right for copy.”
- Put your text in quotes. Add the type style too: “bold condensed sans”, “hand-lettered script”, “thin serif caps”.
- Number your references. “The woman in image 1, wearing the coat from image 2, standing on the street from image 3.”
- Batch your edits and say what stays. “Change the sky to dusk, make the car red, and remove the sign. Keep the people and lighting as they are.”
- Use Auto ratio when editing. The output keeps the shape of your first image, so nothing gets cropped or stretched.
- Attach large enough references. Each image needs to be at least 256 pixels on every side.
