Crystal is built for fidelity first. At its default settings it reconstructs detail without inventing anything, which makes it a safe pick for faces, logos, and product photography where hallucinated texture is a dealbreaker.
What can you do with it?
- Upscale AI-generated images. Take a 1-megapixel generation to print or billboard size.
- Enlarge product photos. Marketplace and catalog images stay clean, with edges and text intact.
- Restore small originals. Old exports, thumbnails, and web-res copies come back usable at full size.
- Prepare files for print. Screen-resolution images rarely survive print DPI. Run them through first.
- Add detail on purpose. Turn up the creativity setting and Crystal reinterprets texture as it enlarges, useful for stylized work.
How to use it
- Upload your image. PNG or JPG, any common source works.
- Set the scale factor. 1x to 10x, with 2x as the default.

Settings
- Scale factor: how much to multiply the original dimensions. 2x quadruples the pixel count.
- Creativity: 0 by default, which keeps the output strictly faithful. Raise it (up to 10) to let the model invent texture and detail.
- Output format: JPG by default, PNG available.
Tips
- Leave creativity at 0 for faces and logos. Fidelity is the whole point there; invented detail reads as wrong immediately.
- Raise creativity for soft or degraded sources. A value of 2 to 4 gives blurry inputs some texture to work with.
- 2x to 4x covers most jobs. Bigger jumps work, but cost scales with output size.
- Chain it after generation. Generate at the model’s native size, then upscale here for the final export.
