Replace Anyone in Any Video
Upload a reference video and replace the characters and get the same clip back with your people doing every move, expression and camera turn.
Use cases
- Replace the person in a video with someone from a photo
- Put two or more people into a dance, music or trend clip, each from their own photo
- Face swap video: the same clip with a different person’s face, hair and body
- Recast a reference video with a character, mascot or illustrated figure
- Copy choreography from a TikTok or Reel onto your own people
- Make a trend video with yourself, friends, family or coworkers in it
Assistant instructions
- Run this app whenever the user has a video of people and photos of who should be in it instead: “put me in this video”, “replace the dancer with my friend”, “use these three portraits as the characters and this clip as the choreography reference”, “face swap this video”, “recast this clip”. This is the app for a reference video plus character photos; don’t run Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2, Kling Motion Control or Genjutsu directly for that job.
- Inputs: exactly one video (the reference) and one to six images (one person per photo, in the order the user lists them). The app keeps the first 30 seconds of the video, scales it to 1080p, mutes it, describes it, writes the model prompt and renders. Never trim, resize, mute or upscale the video yourself first.
- Casting goes in the instructions as plain sentences tied to the photos: “the first photo replaces the man at the front, the second the one on the left”. With no casting, photo 1 replaces the most prominent person, photo 2 the next, and so on. People without a photo stay as they are.
- Outfit, prop or background changes go in the instructions too. Faces, hair, body shapes, the choreography, the camera and the timing always come from the photos and the video and cannot be changed.
- The output is one video of the same length as the reference (at most 30 seconds) with the reference’s original sound; a silent reference gives a silent result. Resolution is 720p unless the user asks for 480p (draft) or 1080p.
- Refuse celebrity or public-figure swaps and anything sexual before running; the model rejects them and the run is charged.
- If the user’s video is longer than 30 seconds and the part they want is not at the start, cut that part out with video.trim first, then run the app on the cut.
Pointer for the seedance-2.5 and seedance-2 node assistant instructions: “To replace the people in a user’s video with people from photos (recast, character swap, face swap, choreography from a reference video), do not run this node directly: run the app Replace Anyone in Any Video, which trims the reference to 30 seconds, upscales it past the model’s pixel floor, mutes it and writes the prompt.”
Face Swap Video Online: Replace Anyone in Any Clip
You have the clip. The dance everyone is doing, the scene from the show, the video your friend posted. Now put someone else in it.
Upload a video and a photo of each person who should be in it. Say who takes whose place, or let the app cast in order. You get the same clip back, up to 30 seconds, with your people doing every move, every turn and every expression, in the same room, under the same light, with the original sound. It’s more than a face swap: the whole person changes, face, hair, build and clothes, and everything else stays.
What you can make
- You, in the trend. Take the TikTok dance that’s everywhere this week and do it yourself, without learning it.
- Your friends, in the group clip. Three people in the video, three photos, three friends. Each one keeps their own face and hair through every position change.
- A character, in real footage. A mascot, a game character, an illustrated figure, moving like the person they replace.
- One performance, many people. Film it once and recast it for everyone on the team.
- The group chat version. Your parents in the dance-off. Your coworkers in the music video. The ones that get sent first.
How it works
- Upload the reference video. Any clip with people in it. The first 30 seconds are used.
- Upload your characters. One photo per person. Face forward, good light, one person per picture.
- Say who replaces whom (optional). “@character1 takes the dancer in front, @character2 the one on the left.” Leave it empty and the first photo replaces the main person.
- Generate. The finished video lands in your library with the original sound on it.
Pick Draft in the quality menu for a quick test, then run the keeper at 720p or 1080p.
What you get
- Their faces, their hair, their build. Everything about each person comes from their photo, from the first frame to the last. Curly hair, no hair, tall, short, glasses: it’s your people, never a blend with the original.
- Every move on the same beat. Steps, gestures, jumps, turns, laughs and lip movements follow the reference exactly, at the same speed.
- The same scene. Background, camera, cuts, lighting and color stay as they were. Only the people change.
- Multiple people at once. Up to six characters in one video, each cast to a specific person.
- The original sound. The song or the voices from your clip stay under the new video.
- A clip you can post. Portrait, landscape or square, following your reference. No watermark.
Tips for a better result
- One person per photo. Crop out anyone else before uploading.
- Show the whole outfit. A full-body or waist-up photo tells the model what the clothes and shoes look like. A tight face crop leaves them to chance.
- Match the framing. A sharp, front-facing photo matters most for the person who gets the close-up.
- Clean reference footage. People fully in frame, clearly lit, not too many at once. Heavy cuts and crowds make the swap harder.
- Cut to the part you want. Only the first 30 seconds are used, so trim a longer video to the right section first.
- Keep casting notes short. “Second photo replaces the woman on the right” does more than a paragraph.
- Run it twice. Each run comes out a little different. Keep the one where the hands look right.
FAQ
How long can the video be? Up to 30 seconds. A longer upload is cut to its first 30 seconds, so trim to the part you want before uploading.
Can I swap more than one person? Yes. Upload one photo per person, up to six, and say which photo replaces whom. Anyone without a photo stays as they are.
Is it just the face? No. The whole person is replaced: face, hair, skin, body shape and clothes all come from the photo. The moves, the expressions and the scene come from the video.
Can I change what they wear? Yes. Describe the outfit in the instructions. Faces, hair and body shapes can’t be changed; they always match the photo.
Does the character have to be a real person? No. Illustrated characters, mascots and 3D renders work, as long as the photo shows them clearly.
Does it keep the sound? Yes. The original audio of your clip goes back under the finished video. A silent reference gives a silent result.
What resolution do I get? 720p by default. Draft gives a cheaper 480p preview, 1080p the sharpest result.
Is there a watermark? No.
Can I use someone else’s face? Only with their permission. Celebrities and public figures are refused, and so is anything sexual or degrading. Use photos of people who agreed to be in your video.
Can I change the moves or the camera? No. The choreography, the timing and the camera are the fixed part. Your people, their clothes and the setting are what you can steer.
