Bernie “I am once again asking” meme generator
Bernie Sanders, in a parka, on a snowy street, asking politely for the hundredth time. The original line was “I am once again asking for your financial support”. The meme is whatever you put after “asking”.
This generator writes your ask under Bernie’s line on the standard Bernie Sanders meme template, in the same white font and the same size, so it reads as one sentence. No cropping, no font matching, no watermark.
How to make a Bernie meme
- Type what Bernie is asking for. “For you to reply to the email.” “You to mute yourself.” “For one more day of the weekend.”
- Generate. The line is written under “I am once again asking” and you get the finished meme.
Type nothing and Bernie asks for something people ask for every day and never get.
How to word the ask
The printed line is “I am once again asking”, so your text continues the sentence.
- Start with for: “for your financial support”, “for the Wi-Fi password”.
- Or start with you to: “you to stop replying all”, “you to read the ticket”.
- Keep it short. Three to ten words is the sweet spot; the joke is the politeness, not the length.
- The ask should be small, hopeless or petty. Bernie has asked before. He will ask again.
Typed the whole sentence? That works too. The generator keeps your words and drops the part Bernie already says.
Adding a setup line
Give the meme a target and it gets a top line.
- “me to my cat: for you to let me sleep”
- “every dev to the PM: for the ticket to have a description”
- “the group chat: you to confirm you’re coming”
The part before the colon goes at the top of the image, the ask goes under Bernie’s line.
Ideas to start with
- For the meeting to be an email
- You to stop replying all
- For the Wi-Fi password
- For one more day of the weekend
- You to tell me which file is the final final one
- For the build to pass on the first try
About the template
The still is from Bernie Sanders’ January 2020 fundraising video, the one every Bernie meme generator uses. People search for it as the I am once again asking meme, the Bernie Sanders meme template, or just the Bernie meme. Your result looks like the original, with your ask in it.
