Acapella Extractor: Get the Vocal Track from Any Song
Upload a song and get the bare vocal back on its own — no instrumental bleed, no manual EQ, no studio session. Drop the acapella straight into your DAW for a remix, a mashup, a cover, or a sample.
How to extract an acapella from a song
- Upload your song. mp3, wav, flac, and m4a all work.
- Run the extractor. A typical track finishes in under a minute.
- Download the acapella. You get the isolated vocal, and the instrumental comes back as a second track.
Features
- Isolated vocal track, cleanly separated from the full mix
- Instrumental returned as a second output with every run
- Works across genres — the model is not tuned to one style
- Accepts mp3, wav, flac, and m4a, up to 20 minutes
- Runs in the browser, with nothing to install
Why these vocals come out clean
The extractor runs on BS-RoFormer, the model that won the 2023 Sound Demixing Challenge and still leads the public vocal separation leaderboards. It is trained specifically for the two-way vocal/instrumental split, rather than being a six-stem model with the vocals pulled out afterwards. On dense, loud masters that difference shows up as noticeably less instrumental bleed in the acapella.
Full technical detail is on the Vocal Splitter model page.
Tips for a cleaner acapella
- Start from the best source you have. A 320 kbps mp3 or a lossless file separates far more cleanly than a low-bitrate rip.
- Heavy reverb, delay, or vocoder effects can carry through. The model treats the effect as part of the voice, which is usually what you want for a remix.
- For recordings longer than 20 minutes, split the file first.
FAQ
What is an acapella?
An acapella is a song’s vocal track on its own, with no instrumental behind it. Producers use them for remixes, mashups, and sampling. This tool creates one from a finished, mixed song.
How do I extract an acapella from a song?
Upload the track above. It separates into an isolated vocal and an instrumental automatically — no DAW, no manual EQ work, and nothing to install.
Can I get the instrumental as well?
Yes. Every run returns both tracks. If the instrumental is the thing you actually want, the Vocal Remover is framed around that job.
How is this different from the Stem Splitter?
The Acapella Extractor does a two-way split: vocals versus everything else. The Stem Splitter breaks the backing track down further into drums, bass, guitar, piano, and other. Use this one when the vocal is what you’re after.
Will the acapella be completely clean?
On most mixes, yes. The hard cases are dense, heavily compressed masters and vocals drenched in effects, where you may hear faint traces of the backing. Starting from a lossless source makes the biggest difference.
What files can I upload?
mp3, wav, flac, and m4a, up to 20 minutes per file.
